www.azcentral.com/arizonarepublic/news/articles/2009/12/17/20091217ncaa1217.htmlIn the comments section of that article, this nugget was spotted- "It seems that non of you have any idea what is going on so i will break it down for you. mark grace and Pat invested in a number of rental homes in the ASU area. While long story short they got their you know what handed to them. Gracey has the juice to just write it off as a bad investment, but pat make $300k annually and is over his head spending anyway. So he started moving players in the houses and paying the rent with the money they had on scholorship for housing to his LLC. This has beening going on for a few years. Pat is a good guy and a good coach...its not really bad...but his career is done and should be, hopefully he didnt hurt the ASU sports programs too much with the NCAA. Sorry Coach" Who knows about the source, but it's definitely food for thought.

Given my obvious disdain for how these kids are trained and the constant skirting of the rules I wonder if athletics is the good we all hope they are for these kids. Kharma, I grow very tired of you jumping on any negative and using it as a narrative for all that is wrong in the world. Maybe it is just the optimist in me, but I see entirely too much good that comes out from athletics as a whole to ever question the good it is for those who participate.

Brett I see you are gearing up to go the route of BF. I noticed this amended rule. "Personal attacks on other posters....." Therefore I have to wonder why your attack on me was not deleted. Because as you should know.... When attacked I'm pretty good at defending myself. Kharma Noted and edited.
