Just saw this segment "Stem Cell Salvation?" on OTL (Outside the Lines) on ESPN. It is about "athletes looking to heal faster or salvage their careers are heading overseas to have stem cell treatment, which is banned in the U.S." The video leads with the story of Mark McCormick, a first round draft pick of the St. Louis Cardinals. Very interesting, particularly that James Andrews, one of the leading orthopedic surgeons in the United States, is possibly getting involved to provide the research that the FDA wants to make the treatment acceptable in the United States.
