Does anybody have any tips on how to negotiate for a lower price during a tuition review with a d 3 school? Now if you said " several d 3 schools", there might be some suggestions (kind like dickering with several car dealerships for the best offer), but as long as the "a" is in there signifying "singular"......I'm kinda thinking that the school's more in the driver's seat than you guys are. JMO......

several d3 schools that are all within about 1k of each other? For a thousand bucks, I'd pick the one where you think he'll get the best education. Unless you project him getting drafted after three years, it's the education that he should be choosing one of those schools for. JMO..... Best of luck with whichever school you choose, mud -

Tuition is pre-set. They can't (and won't) adjust is just because you know how to talk. Only thing that will change is out of pocket costs.
Pick the one that's the best fit. 1K is literally nothing when talking about financing for college.

Wog A lot of colleges are hurting because of the economy. They may be able to invent some kind of aid. The other thing I would look at is job opportunities on campus. Generally kids find a comfort level at a particular school for whatever reason I'd go where he feels most comfortable....and pray. .Good luck. [/quote thanks for the advice..

Or work a min-wage job during the day, take a couple night classes per semester, and have the Pell Grants pay for it all.
Take that out of pocket costs!
