It was a Sunday home game, and we had met in the weight room to have a short bible study (I went to a Christian College). Our coach sat us down and began to read Samuel 18:27.... Wherefore David arose and went, he and his men, and slew of the Philistines two hundred men; and David brought their foreskins, and they gave them in full tale to the king, that he might be the king's son in law. And Saul gave him Michal his daughter to wife. After our coach finished reading, he closed his bible, and just stared at us before saying: "I dont think this what happened. I dont believe that David walked around trimming the foreskins off of 200 di@#'s..! What he did was he chopped off the whole thing, put them in a bag, and brought them to king Saul...... Thats what we are going to do today. We are going to chop off their di#%'s, put them in a bag, and send them back to Utah (We had a 2-0 series lead against Utah). It was an interesting interpretation of scripture A speach that I wont soon forget.
