Hey guys,,Good to see most everybody still here.Lil wog is now in his second year playing at a dee 3 in chicago's western suburbs.we had several college choices but opted to go to the school that had the BEST job placement convenience and playing potential..We had 3 schools come at him real aggressively and chose the school that actually attended several of his summer ball games. My son is was a late bloomer as he still has not physically matured yet .He is cruising at 87 and has great command of a change and curve. He has been shut down for the last month or so with 3 other pitchers who were starters last year..so he feels he'll get some starts this year.Right now there is only 1 or two other kids throwing as fast or faster than him..My personal frustration is the fact that I believe he has a better chance of staying in the game as a short stop or second basemen..he hit the heck out of the ball during the summer legion games and played flawless shortstop.he has the BEST pop time from short to first on his college team .He was recruited as a pitcher and I understand the school wanting to use him as a pitcher..he tells me he'll play any position that gets him on the field..So all in all I am happy with his first year ..he was a little shakey at the start but in his last game he struck out 7 kids in 3 innings..so he left the coaches with a good end of the year memory..As far as big wog goes..I still work with a local travel team in the 8th grade..no kids {no skin} in the game..so its a fun situation for me..Hope all is well..
