How To Grow Membership

I just saw that last night we gained our 130th member at the site. Since we started on April 14th (129 days ago), we have basically averaged one new member a day. I would really like to grow this site through membership, so I was hoping for some ideas from you guys as to how we can do that.

I can tell you the things we cannot do:

1 - Submit pm's to people on BBF...tried that.

2 - Submit pm's to people on HSBBW...haven't tried but after BBF I don't want to.

3 - Openly make a post about the site on either one.

Now we have gained some members through YouTube by sending pm's there when we see a video that we would like to comment on, but I wanted to brainstorm with everyone here to come up with other ways to grow membership here.

Any ideas?

Of course the quickest way to ruin your site is to shut of threads, etc. Just ask Maxx

I can't really do that because I run this site, and BBF wouldn't let me do it...

But I won't stop anyone else from doing it on there... ;D

I know that when i'm on a different computer than my own, and I want to come to this site, i'm always trying to figure out the url, and i'll have to go to HI and search for the thread to get the link.

I would imagine that anyone who went into a search engine and searched for "baseball hitting", "baseball forum" etc. they would never find this site... It's really hard to stumble across.

I'd get listed in some search engines somehow.

Many hitting facilities have there own web sites with messge boards and so does leagues, especially at eteamz. Most of those are not tightly moderated.
If you were to go on some of those sites, say something positve and leave a plug for this one you might get some curiosity up and they might visit. I will leave links at our local league message board.
