Anybody know anything about this organization? www.showballbaseball.com/Sam just got a call/invite from coach Novak (not sure-relayed info) to be in the Northeast/Southeast showcase in St. Pete FL. Looks like a lot of really good schools are going to be there, but I wanted to check to see if anybody knew about this organization. Thanks

This one is $545. Still a lot. That's why I wanted to check it out before we ponied up.
Read some good things about the organization on hsbbw.

Seems about the going rate-probably right in the middle. Have seen some more-some less. He's my brother, and I wouldn't say he's a star. Definitely more borderline. He's a Junior.

As kharma indicated that's a lot of cash but....if you are wanting to go to a showcase might I suggest a Perfect Game showcase.
I don't have any affiliation with them, but as far as I know they are more recognized to college recruiters than this outfit.

Hsbbw has some information that I read. It seems like most people had a great experience It seems like lots of these showcase events will post similar lists of schools "scheduled" or "invited" to attend, or who "have attended" past showcases. This may be true, but can also be misleading. For example, maybe one coach from each of those schools has attended in the past, but maybe not in one year. So they can advertise them as "have attended", but that's no guarantee that they will be attending this year. I would get some concrete answers to that question before committing, and if they make promises that aren't kept, I would do my best to hold them accountable.

Totally understand. I guess a call to the colleges would be a good idea. On this page: www.showballbaseball.com/FUTURECAMPS/NortheastSoutheastCollegiateShowcaseCamp/tabid/834/Default.aspxIt says on the right, above that list of colleges, "COLLEGES GUARANTEED TO ATTEND". So I can only assume that they'll be there. Again, this why I posted it here, cause I wanted everyone's input. I checked with Sam's coach and he said he hasn't been contacted, but at least one of the schools listed put Sam on their recruiting list. He was the only one on his team put on this list/received a call, so I'm hesitant to say they just grabbed a roster and called everyone. Sam played in the East Cobb wood bat tourney this past summer, so I would imagine he got noticed there. If I recall, he pitched really well that tournament, but who knows. Thanks for the advice.

No-We're from St. Louis. Played on the 16U St. Louis Gamers Gray. They competed, but didn't move past pool play.
